Chapter 348: New Business Opportunity
Chapter 348: New Business Opportunity
Thea Shaw actually isn’t without things to do right now.
She resolved a few troubles for Theodore Howard and her classmate Yvette Vaughn in Aethelgard. Although these individuals aren’t talkative, their social circles are quite extensive.
They also knew that Thea Shaw made money this way, and word got around over time.
In the afternoon, Old Mr. Kensington arrived with another elderly man.
Old Mr. Kensington had recently started negotiations with the Abbott Family, and Old Master Abbott came back to the country to discuss the matter.
Aurora Sutton had been staying with the Old Mr. Kensington Family for the past few days, and Old Mr. Kensington’s complexion clearly improved.
Now that his granddaughter is officially back, everyone knew about this, and Benson Abbott wouldn’t dare to act recklessly. Old Mr. Kensington is already preparing to go to court to dispute Aurora’s shares with him, anticipating a long battle.
Thea Shaw did not expect Old Mr. Kensington to bring someone at this time.
"Thea."
Old Mr. Kensington greeted Thea Shaw with a kindly smile: "I came unannounced, hope you don’t mind."
"Grandpa Kensington, how could I mind? Look at what you’re saying." She spoke as she cast a meaningful glance at the old man Old Mr. Kensington brought with him.
The elderly man was visibly older, at least much older than Old Mr. Kensington.
He seemed to be in good spirits, with a sharp gaze. Such a person is definitely not ordinary, clearly someone who has long held a high position, exuding an iron-willed aura.
As soon as he entered, he studied Thea Shaw with his sharp eyes.
Being watched by him could make someone feel chills, as if all their secrets were laid bare in front of him.
Usually, those with guilty consciences might already be breaking a sweat, but Thea Shaw carried a faint smile, staying calm and composed, naturally instructing the maid to serve tea for them both.
Noticing Thea Shaw’s stable demeanor, the old man’s approval was barely discernible with a slight nod.
"Thea, let me introduce," Old Mr. Kensington stepped forward, pointing to the elder, "This is Mr. Rhodes; you can call him Grandpa Rhodes."
Thea Shaw followed suit: "Grandpa Rhodes."
Old Master Rhodes nodded, saying little, only noting, "Your name is Thea Shaw? It’s a good name."
He had an inherent air of authority, but it was clear he was making an effort to show friendliness.
"Thea."
Old Mr. Kensington didn’t waste words and directly stated the purpose: "What happened between Aurora and me was something you saw. This is Grandpa Rhodes, a dear friend of mine, and after he knew about this, he’d like to ask for your help too."
Implying he wanted a fortune-telling session.
Thea Shaw replied with a smile: "Of course, I can help."
Seeing Thea Shaw’s immediate agreement, Old Mr. Kensington sighed in relief, nudging Old Master Rhodes: "Old Man Rhodes, hurry and tell her about your issue; you must trust Thea!"
In truth, Old Master Rhodes did not believe in such things, especially after consulting people from The Aetherium Sect who only provided a vague answer, making him scoff at these so-called fortunes.
If not for Old Mr. Kensington’s situation, he wouldn’t have come here.
Hearing the request to share his issue, a rare trace of hesitation appeared on Old Master Rhodes’ sharp face, revealing a secret buried for decades.
Suddenly, Thea Shaw spoke with a smile, "You’re looking for someone, your daughter."
For a moment, Old Master Rhodes was taken aback, his facial muscles twitching, but quickly regained composure, nodding in affirmation: "Yes."
He was looking for his daughter.
