Chapter 511
Rahiram suddenly opened his eyes.
A cyan flame tornado erupted from her mouth and immediately coiled towards Necrozma.
Wherever the fire dragon passed, steam was instantly evaporated, rocks were melted into glassy liquid, and even magma was turned into pale white ash under the lick of the blue flames.
Necrozma was finally driven to the brink of despair.
It let out a deafening roar, and all the prisms on its body lit up at the same time.
Hundreds of prism lasers shot out from every corner of its body, the beams intertwining into an impenetrable net of death, cutting through everything in its path.
A psychological shock followed immediately.
A materialized black wave erupted from Necrozma's center, spreading outwards like an invisible bomb detonating in the middle of the battlefield.
Ponpo was hit head-on by the shockwave, her petite body flying backward like a kite with a broken string. The thorny vine club flew out of her hand, drawing an arc in the air.
Millerton was grazed on the side by a prism laser, leaving a charred mark on his silver armor.
But Rahiram did not back down.
Azure flames condensed into a shield in front of her. The prism laser pierced through the shield, but its trajectory was distorted by the high temperature, and it swept past her.
The mental shock slammed into the blue flames, the two energies tearing at each other. Reshiram's body trembled slightly from the impact, and fine cracks appeared on her white scales, but she did not retreat an inch.
Her eyes were only on Necrozma.
The color of the blue flame changed again; the dark green had completely faded, replaced by a pure silver-white.
Rashiram's entire body was glowing, and the light overflowing from the gaps in her scales made her look like a white sun that had fallen to earth.
Necrozma's mirror armor began to melt.
The surface of the prism becomes semi-liquid under high temperature, flowing down its body. Each drop makes a sizzling sound when it falls on the seabed, eroding deep pits into the rocks.
Necrozma could feel his life force being consumed rapidly, and his recovery rate was far behind the rate at which it was burning.
It wanted to escape, but there was nowhere to escape.
The air within hundreds of meters was completely sucked out, and the temperature of the blue flames reached a new high.
A huge hole was burned into the clouds in the sky, revealing the pale white sky behind it.
Necrozma let out a desperate roar and charged toward Melemele Island with its last ounce of strength.
But its speed had slowed down; the melting mirror armor hampered its movements, and every step felt like stepping into a swamp.
Reshiram's dragon eyes suddenly contracted into two vertical lines.
The number of "ignition" layers reached its theoretical maximum, and the temperature of the blue flame exceeded the limits of all known flames in the world.
At this moment, Xia Chi sensed Reshiram's condition.
Through the telepathic connection with the White Hero, he seemed to transform into the White Dragon himself.
He could feel the scorching heat of the blue flames surging through his veins, and he could feel the throbbing pain of that overflowing power.
"Rashiram".
He called out in his heart.
"I am here."
White Dragon responded.
"Use that move to end it."
Rahiram did not respond.
She lowered her head, and the blue flames all over her body began to recede towards her chest.
The surrounding light was distorted, burning into a pale blue halo around the edge of the blue flame.
Necrozma turned around; it knew it couldn't escape.
It used its last bit of strength to concentrate all the remaining prism energy in its body in front of it, condensing it into a huge prism shield.
It didn't believe any flame could penetrate the shield.
Rahiram looked up.
The blue flames in her dragon eyes had disappeared, replaced by two pure white spots of light.
Azure flames erupted from her mouth.
The bluish-white energy torrent was hundreds of meters wide, and wherever it passed, all matter was instantly broken down into its most basic particles.
Seawater vaporizes, and rocks evaporate.
The leading edge of the energy torrent continuously deformed during its flight, eventually transforming into a phantom of a blue dragon several times larger than Reshiram himself.
The dragon opened its massive jaws and let out a roar that shook the entire Alola Sea, before crashing headlong into Necrozma's Prism Shield.
The shield lasted for less than a second.
The seven-colored light was engulfed the moment it came into contact with the blue flame, and the surface of the prism vaporized before even cracks could form.
The Azure Flame Dragon pierced through Necrozma's mirror armor and emerged from the other end of its body.
Necrozma's Prism Eyes widened to their limit.
It tried to unleash its last bit of energy in a counterattack, but the prism core melted away at a visible speed under the lick of the blue flames.
Until the blue flames completely devoured Necrozma's entire body.
The light lasted for an unknown period of time; the concept of time lost its meaning in the face of this absolute energy.
When the light finally faded, all that remained where Necrozma had stood was a charred crater hundreds of meters in diameter, with the crystallized seabed at the bottom emitting a faint, dark red glow from the embers.
Nothing was left behind.
Only silence.
Rahiram landed slowly on the edge of the scorched crater.
The blue flames on her body had completely died out, and her white scales had returned to their original color, but their luster had dimmed considerably.
The dragon's wings trembled slightly, each breath heavy with exhaustion.
She won, but she also almost exhausted the last bit of strength in her body.
When Xia Chi arrived, this was the scene that greeted him.
The white dragon stood alone amidst the ruins of the battlefield, surrounded by billowing white mist and crystallized ground.
A huge circular hole was burned into the clouds in the sky, and sunlight poured down from the hole, shining directly on Reshiram.
"Rashiram".
Xia Chi called softly.
Bai Long turned his head and looked at him.
A hint of tenderness flashed in her dragon eyes, then her body went limp and she leaned forward.
Xia Chi rushed forward, her superpowers forming a soft barrier that supported Reshiram's falling body.
Her weight was simply unbearable for a human, but the power of waveguides came into play at the crucial moment.
Xia Chi knelt on the scorched ground, his arms wrapped around Reshiram's massive dragon head, feeling the lingering warmth from her body.
"Thanks for your hard work."
He said in a low voice.
Rahiram closed his eyes and made a soft gurgling sound, as if in response.
The Crowned King rode his Spirit Horse slowly towards them, the black horse's hooves making a crisp sound on the crystallized ground.
He looked down at Rashiram in Xia Chi's arms, then at the huge, charred crater, and clicked his tongue.
"It was burned quite clean."
Xia Chi nodded. "Yeah, even if Phoenix King came, he probably wouldn't be able to revive this guy."
The Crowned King tilted its head and chuckled, "That thing? Its life energy isn't even a tenth of this monster's."
Xia Chi looked at him in surprise, "You know Phoenix King?"
Ho-Oh is a legendary Pokémon from the Kanto and Johto regions, while Calyrex had never left Galar before recognizing itself.
Theoretically, the two elves have absolutely nothing to do with each other.
Unlike himself, the Calyrex King did not have information from his past life that allowed him to know about the existence of so many legendary elves.
How did it know about Ho-Oh?
Moreover, judging from the tone of the Queen of the Palace, it seemed that she looked down on this "photographer"?
King Lacecrown nodded and said, "I encountered it during my travels."
Xia Chi pressed further, "And then?"
The Crowned Queen blinked. "What, and then?"
Xia Chi: ".
'
Xia Chi felt somewhat helpless looking at the Queen of the Lace Crown, who was now pretending to be stupid.
It's obvious that something happened between it and Ho-Oh, but since Calycerin isn't willing to say, then let's just leave it at that.
It probably won't be too glorious, otherwise, given this guy's arrogant nature, he would definitely have brought it out to brag about it.
While Xia Chi was chatting with the Queen of the Brilliant Crown, Pon and Milton also arrived.
They had already slipped away to the side during the brief interval between Reshiram's final "Blue Flame Judgment" attack.
After all, this thing, like an earthquake, can't distinguish between friend and foe.
Seeing that Necrozma had already been melted, he hurriedly returned.
Ponpon's little face was still covered in dust from the battle. When she saw Reshiram's exhausted appearance, her eyes immediately reddened, and she rushed over to hug the white dragon's nose with her little hands.
"Bonito..."
Rahiram opened his eyes and gently rubbed his head against the pillow.
The sea breeze began to blow.
The white mist rising from the battlefield was gradually blown away, revealing the azure horizon in the distance.
The sun shone golden rays through the gaps in the clouds, illuminating each elf.
The charred seabed began to cool, its crystallized surface reflecting sunlight like a shattered mirror.
In the distant sky, the enormous ultimate hole had quietly closed at some point.
The sky became whole again, and the purplish-black crack that had once occupied half of the sky disappeared completely, leaving not a trace.
Only the circular hole in the clouds, created by Reshiram's impact, silently testifies that all of this truly happened.
Without Necrozma's call, the remaining Ultra Beasts were like a swarm of headless flies.
The command they were given to charge at any cost lost its effect the moment Necrozma dissipated.
The same resolute determination to charge forward at all costs that they had before was gone.
Meowth, Dragonite, and Tapu Koko easily dealt with the remaining enemies.
Compared to the previous fierce battles, this now seems more like a cleanup.
Victini flew above the battlefield, its large, sapphire-blue eyes scanning the area below.
So it switched to an easier job: using the light of the Victory Star to replenish the energy of every Pokémon that was still fighting.
The small white figure flew from one Pokémon to another, placed its palm on one of them, and passed on a warm golden light. Then, without waiting for the other Pokémon to thank it, it chuckled and flew to the next one.
Cynthia and Steven's Pokémon were a bit slower, and it was only then that they rode Garchomp and Metagross from a distance to arrive.
Cynthia leaped off Garchomp's back.
Her long golden hair was mostly disheveled from the battle, with sea salt and dust from the fighting clinging to the ends.
She stood there, looking at Xia Chi with a complicated expression.
Those usually calm and elegant gray-blue eyes were now churning with far too many emotions.
The words reached her lips, but she swallowed them back.
Because she knew that any words would seem too inadequate in the face of this figure in the setting sun.
He would hold off Necrozma, draw the Ultra Beasts' attack, and ultimately destroy the Radiant God from another world with his own hands.
Everything was done by Xia Chi and his elves.
Xia Chi looked at her and smiled slightly.
"Thank you for your hard work, everyone."
Compared to Cynthia, Leon was not as reserved.
He leaped off the back of the super Charizard and, before he could even steady himself, strode toward Xia Chi.
His iconic red cloak was torn in three places during the battle, the largest of which almost ripped off a corner of the cloak, the fragments fluttering behind him.
But he couldn't care less about any of that.
"When those Ultra Beasts charged at you just now, it really scared me to death, Junior Brother Xia Chi."
Dan Di grabbed Xia Chi's shoulder with tremendous force, his movements carrying a sense of lingering fear and relief, as if he feared Xia Chi would disappear if he let go.
His arm was wrapped around Xia Chi's shoulder blade, and his palm slapped Xia Chi's back hard, making a dull thud.
"If something really happens to you, how am I supposed to explain it to my master!"
Xia Chi leaned forward slightly as he patted her; it hurt a little, but she felt warmer than anything else.
We've only been fellow apprentices for a little over a year.
For two trainers who are both adults, their friendship of over a year is neither particularly deep nor shallow.
But Dan Di's concern for him was genuine.
Xia Chi smiled slightly, "Don't worry, Senior Brother Dan Di, I know what I'm doing."
Dan Di loosened his shoulder and looked him up and down, as if to confirm the truth of his words.
Xia Chi's face was still very pale, the cracks on his lips were clearly visible, and his eye sockets were slightly sunken due to the excessive consumption of his mental energy.
Dan Di stared at him for two seconds, then nodded vigorously without saying anything more, only patting his shoulder again.
On the other side, Daigo had just slid off Mega Metagross.
His silver-blue suit was covered in dust from the battle, and there was a scorch mark on the cuff from the aftershocks of energy, but he didn't seem to care.
He was just about to say something.
Suddenly, his gaze was drawn to something on the ground.
He crouched down, his fingertips hovering above a crystal shard, his expression becoming incredibly focused.
Xia Chi noticed Daigo's unusual behavior.
He gently adjusted the position of Reshiram in his arms, then turned to the side, his gaze passing over Dante's shoulder and landing on the figure crouching on the ground.
"Daigo, what's wrong?"
Emperor Dan also turned around.
He was taken aback when he saw Daigo's focused, almost obsessive expression, and then he laughed.
"The great battle has just ended, and you already want to go dig for stones again?"
Daigo did not turn around.
His fingers finally touched the crystal fragment.
The moment his fingertips touched the surface of the crystal, his pupils brightened slightly.
"These crystals... seem to contain special energy."
Dan Di was slightly taken aback, then said, "Isn't it normal for it to have energy? Logically speaking, this is the remains of that huge guy. That guy was so terrifying, what's so strange about these fragments being unusual?"
His argument was reasonable and well-founded.
What level of existence is Necrozma?
That was a legendary spirit that even the four island guardians working together couldn't budge an inch from; a terrifying behemoth capable of devouring light, and even the embodiment of the sun from another world.
Isn't it only natural that its remains contain special energy?
But Xia Chi didn't reply; he suddenly thought of something.
These crystals couldn't be... Z-pure crystals, could they?
